The tour

See the whole app, before you install it.

Seven stops through every important surface — onboarding, sending, receiving, the weekly recap, the parts we deliberately don't have. No download required.

01

Onboard with your phone, not your email.

Sign up with a phone number. Your contacts get hashed on your device — we never see them in plain text. The handful of friends already on Vibes appear automatically; everyone else is invisible to us until they install.

Takes about 30 seconds. You'll have at least one friend by the time you reach the home tab.

02

Send a song like a postcard.

Pick a track from Apple Music or Spotify. Pick a friend. Add a one-line note if you want. Send. They get one card — not a feed entry, not a thread — that sits there until they open it.

The note is optional. About a third of vibes are sent without one. The most-sent note is "this made me think of you."

03

Receive a vibe — not a notification spam.

When a friend sends you a song, you get a single push and a single card waiting on the home tab. No batched digest, no "your week so far," no algorithmic re-ordering. The order is the order they sent.

Tap the card and the song plays. Reply with one of seven reactions, or send a song back, or just listen and let it sit.

04

A weekly recap. Not a yearly one.

Every Sunday morning at 8am local time, the app builds you a recap — the songs you sent, the songs you received, your top palette, your most-shared friend. Three cards, sized like Stories, designed to be screenshot.

Yours alone unless you choose to share. See a sample.

A profile shaped like a magazine spread.

Your profile is one big editorial spread — your top genre, your most-played artist, the song you've been spinning all week, your sending streak. It's designed for you, not for follower count.

You can make it public-readable so friends can see your taste card. Here's mine.

Discover, but only what your friends are listening to.

The Discover tab is the closest thing Vibes has to a feed — and it's still not really one. It's a once-a-day editorial issue showing what your friends played most, what got the most reactions in your group, and one curated "vibe of the week" picked by us, by hand.

No infinite scroll. Issue ends when the issue ends.

The parts we don't have.

No public follower count. No quote-share. No comments visible to strangers. No DMs from people you don't know. No "for you" tab. No notifications between 11pm and 8am unless you opt in. No ads. No tracking SDKs. Full list of refusals.

This is the most important page on the website if you're trying to figure out whether you'd actually like the app.
