The tour · 11 stops

The whole app, before you install it.

Eleven palette panels through every signature surface — sending, the moment you pick, Shazam, receiving, hit-or-miss, the song of the day, the songs you'd defend, the chat peek, the weekly recap, the journal, and the parts I deliberately don't have. Scroll to begin.

Send

Send a song like a postcard.

Pick a track from Apple Music or Spotify. Pick a friend. Add a one-line note if you want. Send. They get one card — not a feed entry, not a thread — that sits there until they open it.

The note is optional. About a third of vibes are sent without one. The most-sent note is "this made me think of you."

Moment

Pick the exact 30 seconds.

Every vibe carries a moment — the bar of the song you actually want them to hear first. Drag the vinyl, drop the needle wherever it matters. The intro. The bridge. The drop where the synth comes in. They open your postcard, hit play, and they land right where you wanted them to.

The song doesn't stop at your moment. It keeps going past it, the way a record keeps spinning. The moment is just the door.

Snap

Hear something. Snap it.

You're in a coffee shop, a song plays overhead, you have no idea what it is. Long-press the listen button. Snap a Song reads it with your phone's microphone — same way Shazam does — and the moment it knows the song, the composer opens with the track already loaded. Pick a friend, send.

Snapped vibes carry a small SNAPPED badge on the receiving end so they know you caught it in the wild and not from a playlist. It changes how the song lands.

Receive

An inbox, not a feed.

When a friend sends you a song, you get a single push and a single card waiting on the home tab. No batched digest, no "your week so far," no algorithmic re-ordering. The order is the order they sent.

Tap the card and the song plays. Reply with one of seven reactions, or send a song back, or just listen and let it sit.

Hit? Or miss?

Toggle Hit or Miss when you send. The receiver sees a locked song — they have to listen before they can read your note or see the artwork. They listen. They verdict. If they hit it, you both get the push. If they miss it, you find out it wasn't for them — and that's information too.

Your hit rate stacks on your profile. So does your taste-match with each friend. It turns sending a song into a small bet you're making about the other person.

Song of the day

One pick a day. Per friend.

The signature surface. Every morning you set a single song — your vibe of the day — that all your friends can see until tomorrow. They each set theirs. The home row is everyone's pick, side by side.

Tap your bubble to set yours. Tap a friend's to peek at theirs and send a song back without leaving the screen.

Forever

Songs you'd defend.

Most music apps care about what you listened to last week. Vibes cares about what you'd put on a list of songs you'd defend in court. Add a song. Write a one-sentence defense — why it stays. It stacks on your profile.

Friends see your forever list. Overlaps light up where your lists touch — same song, same album, same artist on two profiles. You can fight about them in the comments.

The peek

A glance, not a destination.

Tap a friend's bubble and a palette-saturated peek slides up — their avatar, the song they picked, the note they wrote, and a button to send a song back. Modeled on Instagram Notes but elevated: the song is the message.

Auto-plays the preview the moment it opens. Swipe down to dismiss. The whole act takes maybe four seconds.

Sunday recap

A weekly recap. Not a yearly one.

Every Sunday morning the app builds you a recap — the songs you sent, the songs you got, your top palette, your most-shared friend, the lyric that hit hardest. Designed to be screenshot.

Yours alone unless you choose to share. See a sample.

Music journal

A song, and how it landed.

Some songs hit harder than others. The journal is a small, private surface for writing about the ones that did — a one-line note, a paragraph, or a 30-second voice memo, attached to the track and the moment.

Private by default. Re-open a song six months later and your past entry surfaces beside it. The hardest re-discovery a music app can offer.

What I refuse

The parts I don't have.

No public follower count. No quote-share. No comments visible to strangers. No DMs from people you don't know. No "for you" tab. No notifications between 11pm and 8am unless you opt in. No ads. No tracking SDKs.

This is the most important page on the website if you're trying to figure out whether you'd actually like the app. Full list of refusals.

That's the tour

Your turn. Send the first one.

Vibes is on TestFlight. Free. Three minutes to install, sixty seconds to send your first song. The friend you'd send it to is probably already on the app — install and find out.
